A finished silk shrug.

And the back...

What do you think? Does it need a blocking?

hi connie-i love the shrug. i am working on a gauge swatch for it and i like the gauge alittle looser than it calls for. the gauge i like is 5.9sts = 4 inches so i am going to adapt the pattern alittle. i have a question now that you have finished. i usually make sweaters for myself about 40" around unless they are oversized then i may go to 44" or so. what size did you make? what size do you usually knit for yourself? any suggestions. also -i would block it - it always smooths out the stitches and a light brushing will raise the nap. Hi Pat,

I made the S/M size. It was a bit big for me. If I were to make it again for myself, I think I would lop off a couple of inches from the width.

Thanks for your nice comments :)
